About

Grassroots Mountain Bike Reporting

Pinned TV is a grass-roots YouTube channel, focused on the world of mountain biking and currently producing insightful and action packed content. These vlogs cover topics such as travel, racing, adventure, product testing and reviews. The channel is seen and followed by thousands because it communicates directly, and relates to the weekend warriors, getting close to riders’ hearts and not being too elitist.

At Pinned TV Jim, his son Tod, plus their riding mates and colleagues bring their subscribers a regular dose of bikes & banter. Pinned TV represents true to life footage of bike and product testing, bike racing and mountain bike journalism, throughout the UK and other parts of the world.

Plans for future content include: ride vlogs/ interviews with prominent YouTubers and well known riders/racers, more Idiots’ Guides content, more racing & events coverage, monthly live shows (this may also go on the road), shop visits, factory visits, product testing/featuring and travel adventure vlogs. A little bit about our two presenters below:

Jim Buchanan

Jim is the ultimate enthusiast having been a rider for more than 25 years both as a racer and social trail rider. His career has been embroiled in the riding community with experience of working with top magazines such as Dirt, MBUK & Enduro MTB as a journalist & bike tester until 2017. Having raced at a competitive level in his category in downhill, Jim is now an enduro vlogger and a real people person, reaching out to grassroots riders but also able to socialise and work with the pro riders just as comfortably.

Tod Buchanan

Now 14 (old pic^) having been a rider since just 9 years old, Tod is now capable of riding EWS stages of Scotland, the gnarlest of trails and is fast becoming a proper Shredder! He loves to ride with his mates and film with his dad. He plans to do more riding & racing in the future, bringing our subscribers all the action!

Ian The Trail Dog

Ian is our team trail dog, a Jug (Jack Russel/Pug cross) often featured on the vlogs. Ian himself (now 8) has been a trail dog since he could run and loves being out on the trails with the crew!
